Super 8

Find out more about super 8 and why it’s a loved format to be added to any photo or video package.

What Is Super 8?

There’s something about Super 8 that digital just can’t replicate.

Super 8 is real motion picture film. It’s the same format families used in the 60s and 70s, shot on actual film stock and developed in a lab. The result is soft grain, gentle motion, natural light bloom, and colors that feel nostalgic and timeless. It looks like a memory.

We use professional a Super 8 camera and carefully choose when to shoot it throughout your day. Because it’s real film, every second matters. It slows everything down in the best way and captures moments in a way that feels honest and emotional.

Why add Super 8 to your wedding?

• It feels nostalgic but still cinematic
• It captures moments in a raw, artistic way
• It blends beautifully into highlight films or stands strong on its own

Super 8 works especially well for getting ready moments, portraits, outdoor ceremonies, golden hour, and candid in-between moments.

How it works

Our Super 8 add-on includes a minimum of two rolls of film.
One roll is typically used indoors and one outdoors to ensure balanced exposure and variety.

Each roll gives about 3 minutes of footage, so two rolls result in roughly 6 minutes of film.

We can:
• Weave it into your highlight film for a layered, cinematic feel
• Deliver it as a standalone Super 8 film set to music
• Or both

Because it’s real film, there are hard costs for stock and lab development. That’s why we start at $1,000 for two rolls, with additional rolls available for $200 per roll if you want more coverage.

If you’re drawn to work that feels nostalgic, organic, and a little imperfect in the best way, Super 8 might be the perfect addition to your wedding day. It’s not about perfection. It’s about feeling.
